People’s Grocery 2010 BBQ – On July 24, 2010, more than 450 West Oakland residents, organizations, and friends gathered at People’s Grocery’s gardens and greenhouse behind the historic California Hotel at 35th and San Pablo. Residents of the hotel, community partners, and West Oakland neighbors enjoyed healthy food, music celebrating those who had performed at the Cal Hotel, up and coming area hip hop acts, the Prescott clowns and more.
