The Grub Box is a modified CSA (community supported agriculture) program that is designed to create access to healthy food for low-income West Oakland residents. Members sign up and pre-order boxes of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables and occassionally, other healthy foods such as whole grain bread or brown rice. Grub Boxes are filled with 12 - 13 items and can feed a family of 3 - 4 for a week. Members must pick up the boxes at a convenient location each week.
1) Read all of the program information and determine if you qualify for the Resident or Sponsor membership. Read the FAQs for more information about the program policies.
2) Determine which pick up location is most convenent for you.
EBT- Call (510) 652-7607 x24 and provide your EBT card # and total # of boxes you want.
Automatic Payments- Set up automatic weekly, every other week, monthly, or quarterly payments on your credit or debit card. Payments will be ongoing until subscription is cancelled. Call (510) 652-7607 x24.

Mail- Make out a check or money order to People's Grocery and mail it to 909 7th St., Oakland, CA 94607
In person- Come by the office at the above address for check or cash payments. Please call before coming.
5) A People's Grocery representative will e-mail you to confirm your Grub Box subscription (separate from Google Checkout's confirmation).
