Pot o' Beans  Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version 

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of black beans
  • 6 cups of water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Procedure

Soak black beans overnight, or "quick soak" by bringing beans in water to a boil, cover with lid, remove from heat, and let stand for 30 minutes.

Add fresh water to pot if neccesary

Simmer beans on low-medium heat until beans are tender but not mushy

Season with salt and pepper
