Ingredients

  • Black beans from "Pot o' beans"
  • 1 medium onion- chopped
  • 1 green or red bell pepper- chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey (optional)
Procedure

Sauté onions and peppers in bottom of big pot for about 4 - 5 minutes, until onion is translucent. If using, add ground turkey or chicken. Add chili powder. Cook through, about 5 - 10 minutes. Add tomatoes and black beans. Simmer for 20 minutes and serve.
